2 found dead inside Portage, Ind. boat with high carbon monoxide levels


PORTAGE, Ind. (WLS) —

Two individuals have been discovered lifeless inside a ship that had poisonous ranges of carbon monoxide on Friday in Portage, Ind., the Porter County Coroner’s Workplace stated.

The coroner’s workplace was despatched to a ship that was docked at Marina Shores in Portage at about eleven:sixteen p.m.

Witnesses on the scene advised authorities that a mom had been looking for her son and found the our bodies of two individuals within the cabin of the boat.

The Portage Hearth Division discovered poisonous ranges of carbon monoxide contained in the boat.

The coroner recognized the victims as forty four-yr-previous Michael McKinney of Wanatah and 38-yr-previous Jennifer Ellenberger of Crown Level. Each have been pronounced lifeless on the scene.

Authorities stated there isn’t any indication of foul play. The coroner’s workplace is performing toxicology checks to find out if each McKinney and Ellenberger died from carbon monoxide poisoning.
