5 hurt after 2 cars hit fire hydrant in West Loop


CHICAGO (WLS) —

5 individuals have been injured after two automobiles crashed into a fireplace hydrant, sending water all over the place Saturday morning within the West Loop.

The crash occurred on the intersection of Randolph and Jefferson streets.

5 individuals have been hospitalized in critical situation, the Chicago Hearth Division stated.

It isn’t recognized what induced the crash. Crews ultimately shut off the water to the hydrant.
