NEWPORT, Del. (WPVI) —
Delaware State Police have charged the driving force of the tractor trailer concerned in a fiery crash on I-295 early Sunday morning with DUI.
The incident occurred round 2:38 a.m. Sunday when police stated Jeffery B. Mosier, fifty five of Pageland, South Carolina was driving a tractor trailer carrying development gear northbound on I-ninety five merging onto I-295 northbound.
For unknown causes, police stated the tractor trailer struck a jersey barrier that was centered between the I-ninety five and I-295 cut up earlier than overturning and catching hearth.
Mosier was outdoors of the car after it overturned and was transported from the scene by EMS to Christiana Medical Middle.
Police stated upon his arrival on the hospital, a DUI investigation was carried out by troopers. After being handled and launched with non-life-threatening accidents, troopers took Mosier into custody and transported him to Troop 6. In accordance with officers, he was charged with 4th Offense Driving Underneath the Affect of Alcohol (three earlier convictions; 2010, 2011, and 2014), refusing a breath/blood check whereas working a business motorcar and failure to stay inside a single lane.
Mosier was arraigned at JP11 and dedicated to Howard R. Younger Correctional Establishment on $6,300.00 money bond.
The tractor and its trailer was utterly destroyed because of the hearth and was not identifiable.
