In a vote that ended Sept. eight, readers forged greater than forty,000 votes for this week’s Cincinnati Enquirer athlete of the week winners.

The Sycamore Excessive Faculty soccer group gained the staff of the week vote, which suggests the Enquirer employees will put together a function on the Aviators by subsequent Friday. The unbeaten Aviators beat Mason 21-7 Sept. eight.

Players of the week, Sept. 4-11, by sport as voted by readers are:

Football, Ohio: Jarred Uran, La Salle – The junior linebacker had 5 tackles last week in a 30-0 win over West Clermont, after a 12.5 tackle game against Colerain. He currently leads the conference in tackles (30) and the Lancers’ defense has allowed a league-low 3 points

Football, Northern Kentucky: Trevor Courts, Conner – Trevor led Conner in rushing with 163 yards and a pair of second-half touchdowns in a 47-27 win over Scott.

Boys cross country: Conant Smith, Middletown – Conant ran a time of 15:15.7 at the Mason Invitational to finish first overall and help

Girls cross country:  Felicia Krekeler, Ursuline – Felicia ran a time of 18:40.5 at the Mason Invitational to help Ursuline to a first-place team finish.

Boys golf: Stone Shields, Lakota East – Stone led Lakota East to a win over Walnut Hills after shooting a 39 on the front nine at The Mill.

Girls golf: Rachel Hummel, Mercy – Rachel led Mercy to a first-place finish at the Best of the West tournament with a round of 77.

Boys soccer: Luke Lockard, Calvary Christian – The senior had a strong offensive effort against Bishop Brossart to help Calvary win the 10th Region All ‘A’ championship Sept. 9.

Girls soccer: Annie Longo, Ursuline – Annie scored both of Ursuline’s goals in a shutout win over Mercy.

Tennis: Gabriella O’Connor, Ursuline – O’Connor helped Ursuline to a 5-0 win over Mercy after blanking the first singles matchup 6-0, 6-0.
