Event marks 10 years since Stacy Peterson disappeared, raises money for search


WESTMONT, Unwell. (WLS) —

This weekend marked 10 years since Stacy Peterson disappeared.

On Sunday, her household and buddies gathered to recollect the 23-yr-previous Bolingbrook lady and lift cash for the group that is looking for her.

“It has been an emotional curler coaster since Day 1,” stated her sister, Cassandra Cales, who organized the occasion. “However I am not going to cease. I am simply going to maintain Stacy’s identify on the market. Hold her reminiscence alive and let everybody know that she did not run off. And I’ll discover her.”

Proceeds from the occasion will go to Group Watters Sonar Search & Restoration.

Peterson, a mom of two, disappeared from her Bolingbrook residence. The disappearance sparked nationwide headlines and resulted within the conviction of her husband, Drew Peterson, for the homicide of his third spouse, Kathleen Savio.

Illinois State Police are dealing with the investigation and have formally named Drew Peterson as a suspect. Nevertheless, the household has stated it has been some time since they’ve heard any updates from police.
