A Twitter account @InternetSafety issued the comment that the video was a cover of Stapleton’s version of David Bowie’s song.

The account also has the caption “The full song #OWGRUMEDAY performed at the 2019 CMAC Centennial Celebration concert”.

Facebook and YouTube appear to have censored the video, which has been shared about 1,000 times. YouTube is described as “inactive”, while Facebook is described as having no content at the time of writing.

Listen to the original version of Let’s Go Crazy below.

The alleged Facebook comment was titled: “Chris Stapleton Fans Cry at the Songs! He Admitted he Wishes It Was A Mistake! This will help his campaign!”

Chris Stapleton has not responded to requests for comment from the Guardian.
