EL CAJON, Calif. – Police requested residents in El Cajon to remain inside Sunday night as they investigated a report of a person barricaded inside his residence.
El Cajon police went to the 600 block of N. Pierce Road round 6:30 p.m. to assist firefighters who had responded to a report of a fireplace burning in a yard. An individual appeared to had set a pile of trash on hearth, Heartland Hearth Division official stated. Once they arrived, the referred to as police for help.
A witness stated an upset man might have threatened authorities earlier than barricading himself in a house.
El Cajon police tweeted at 6:forty five p.m. telling individuals within the space to remain away.
As of eight p.m., nobody was injured or arrested.
