EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — Police have a warrant out for the arrest of a second suspect within the theft 33 bus batteries final week.
Shane Williams, 29, of Tiverton, is needed for felony larceny and conspiracy after police say he and Edmund Pittsley stole the batteries from a bus yard in East Windfall, inflicting a two-hour delay at metropolis faculties on Oct. 25.
Police say it’s believed that Williams fled the world and is working a white 2002 Toyota Avalon.
The batteries have been recovered from Berger & Firm Recycling in Pawtucket, who purchased the batteries for about $600 earlier than studying they have been stolen.
Pittsley, 38, of Rehoboth, turned himself in final Thursday after he was contacted by investigators, in accordance with police.
