People are becoming increasingly reliant on their phones, but are they okay with that?

Many argue that the light hand-held calls will make the experience on planes more comfortable for the passenger and less stressful for flight staff.

But there is also the worry that mobiles could be disrupted for other people or that pilots will lose their ability to land the plane.

That’s why one airline has already banned cell phone use on flights.

In the meantime, we took to the skies to hear what passengers thought of the idea.

Ryan Burnett, from Accrington, was one of many who found the idea intimidating.

“It’s a bit worrying to start off with. It depends on how many of these mobile phones are sitting in the plane next to you,” he said.
